Miles of sand and desert, tall towers that seem to touch the sky, palm-fringed beaches, stunning man-made marvels and much more - Dubai is known to have packed in a variety of things that we often forget to explore this beautiful desert city beyond its much-talked-about tourist stops. This time, instead of limiting yourself to the Dubai Fountain, Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Mall, peruse our list of lesser-known gems in Dubai that we are confident you will enjoy learning about on your Dubai Tours.

1. Wander the Marina:

The marina area is bordered by tall buildings and is built of a stunning panoramic boardwalk. Here, you’ll discover lots of luxury yachts, lovely residences, and pubs and restaurants facing the port. Pier 7, which has seven storeys of restaurants and bars on the water, is a must-see place that can be included in your Dubai tour packages.

2. Hit the mall:

Dubai's malls are unlike any other malls in the globe. The city has around 65 malls, with more on the way. Malls are very popular in this city! Between the Dubai Mall and the Mall of the Emirates, there are a plethora of fantastic things to see and do. At the Mall of the Emirates, there is luxury shopping, nightly fountain displays, an aquarium, and even indoor skiing. The Ibn Battuta Mall, the world's largest themed mall, is certainly worth a visit. It is named after the famous explorer and has a Moroccan motif. Wear proper clothing and avoid tank tops, shorts, or miniskirts.

3. Visit the Grand Mosque:

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, located in Abu Dhabi, is well worth a half-day visit. The mosque and its accompanying gardens cover 30 acres and were built between 1996 and 2007. The mosque and its huge square are almost all white, giving them a magnificent appearance. Dubai is a 90-minute drive away. Due to the fact that it is a place of worship, you should dress appropriately. During Eid, the mosque receives upwards of 41,000 visitors each day. The event is free to attend.

4. Explore Old Dubai:

This is Dubai as it was in the past. Markets (such as the well-known gold market) abound, small shops line the streets, and you can easily get lost in a maze of alleyways. You can include in your Dubai holiday packages, a ferry ride over Dubai Creek to Deira and meander aimlessly through the streets, eating at some of the local restaurants, visiting the art shops, and seeing Dubai without the glamour of the malls and high-rises. The Dubai Frame, the gold market, and the spice souk (market) are all worth seeing.

5. Tour the Jumeirah Mosque:

This lovely mosque, which opened in 1979, is one of just two in the city that you can visit. It is a Fatimid-style building with one enormous room and a guided tour every day at 10 a.m. (except for Fridays). It costs 35 AED and includes a delicious breakfast buffet. It's a fascinating tour if you don't know much about Islam or the role it plays in the UAE.

6. Wander the Palm Islands:

A vast retail area, the Atlantis resort, Aquaventure waterpark, and a slew of upscale restaurants, pubs, and clubs can all be found on this famous man-made palm tree-shaped island. It’s great to go around and investigate during the day. Plan your budget trip to Dubai from India, and visit the Palm Islands - the amazing man-made marvel in Dubai.

7. Visit the Souk Madinat Jumeirah:

This souk (market) is housed in a modern structure that looks like something out of Aladdin, but also houses some fantastic restaurants. This complex also includes a lovely inner courtyard pond. If you're a foodie, come here if you want to splurge! Al Makan serves local cuisines, Anar serves Persian cuisine, and The Noodle House serves delectable Asian fare.
